Quebec Literacy Working Group (QLWG) Skills for Life Series
Essential writing strategies are provided in this unit so you feel more at ease handling writing activities in other units. Such strategies include using the Quick-Word Handbook for Everyday Writers, using a dictionary, employing the writing process (i.e. pre-writing, drafting, revising and editing), structuring writing and using a writing checklist. Learners are asked to practice using these strategies as they progress in the unit.
